Should it all match? Cake question...

Originally I was going to use pink calla lilies as my flower and requested fresh pink calla lilies on my cake as a result.  I have since changed my flower to hot pink roses and am wondering if I should update the cake too?

Are you ladies matching everything from your ceremony at your reception?  Or am I just being neurotic?

I don't think it's neurotic not to match but I don't think pink calla lillies would look out of place next to pink roses either. It's really just your preference.

We're sort of all matching and sort of not. Bouquets and boutinneres will be blue hydrangeas and white calla lillies, and the centerpieces will be blue hydrangeas with white lisianthus. The cupcakes have little buds on them that will look like hydrangea buds. However, part of our choice in picking the weekend after easter was so we wouldn't have to pay for ceremony flowers. We're just going with whatever the church has so I actually have no idea what my ceremony flowers will look like and probably won't know until the day of my rehearsal!

I have no idea what are ceremony flowers will look like either, but I'm guessing it will be a spring mix of daffodils and tulips and hyacinths.  My BM boquets will be a spring mix of purplish, green and white flowers. Same with the centerpieces. I'm not a huge flower person, so I'm not picky in terms of the type of flower but more particular on the color.. if that makes sense. 

That being said, I don't think you need to change your flowers.  They are both pink, I don't think anyone would notice. But if it's going to really bother you, then change it. I'm sure it will look great either way

Nobody is going to notice.  Honestly.  It's not like you're going to be holding your bouquet next to the cake. 

We're not having flowers on our cake, but if we were, I'd probably go for same color scheme but not necessarily the exact same flowers.  That's one of those details that nobody but the bride is going to remember a week after the wedding anyway.
