Yay for save the dates! I seriously didn't even realize how few addresses I had until we put our save the dates together last month. Not a fun task, but so worth it when they're all in the mail.

Congrats on one more check!  Ours were mailed out about a month ago, and FI STILL hasn't gotten me any addresses for his work friends.  Guess he doesn't really want them there.  lol

Yes, it is an awesome feeling to toss that stack in the mailbox and be done with them!

Yay that is so exciting.  We just got our engagement pics taken Friday so I can't wait to see them and order ours. 

Do you have a pic?  Also, where did you get them?  I have been looking at magnetstreet for ideas.

Very exciting! We're doing a postcard and had a friend take some pics this past weekend for us to use. We're not mailing them until October so we have some time to figure out how we want them to look.

Just did our engagement photos Friday too!  Sooo fun, and my maid of honor was the photographer.  She was the one who introduced us and we both loooove her so the pictures were all too natural for us with her shooting.  Lots of great ones, here's one of our favorites   Time to create the save the dates, love the magnet idea!!  (not loving the address collecting lol)

i am not sure if we are going to send out save the dates....our wedding is local so if we do at what point should I send them? or whats the point of no return where I shouldnt even bother

Did you have to place a minimum order for your Save the Date magnets?

Reason I am asking is I had some invitation/STD mock ups done and was told magnets were a minimum of 100 and with 25 increments from the supplier my stationary person uses.  I might just use vistaprint or wedding paper divas instead...

Exciting that you have the Save the Dates out of the way!
 
We are still deciding between postcards and magnets. I like the postcard idea because it's a little larger, but am afraid the image might get messed up in the mail. But then with the magnet, I want to make sure it's actually functional and will hold up a few sheets of paper if I'm spending the extra money on postage.

Has anyone tested magnets from various places to see how strong they are?
