April 2013 Weddings

Hungry :/

Ugh.  I have read that brides lose a few pounds the month or so before the wedding because of stress.... I am starving!  I hope I don't gain a few!  I am eating healthy, but even healthy calories add up.

How about you ladies?  Are you stressed?  Does that make you hungry or not hungry?  I wish stress made me not want to eat!

  • I get cravings for crunchy things and fried things (cheezits, french fries, basically anything unhealthy) because I have a liquid lunch that supposedly has every nutrient I need that will prevent me from wanting junk (yea right). I focus so much on eating right that I know I'm going to crash and burn and just pig out one of these days. Luckily I've been sticking to my exercise routine so I don't think I should have to worry.

    To answer your questions, yes I am stressed and I think I am more stressed because I am so hungry!!

  • I'm the oppsite. When I stress out I forget to eat. In college I once dropped 14lbs in 2 weeks, finals week and the week leading up to finals. FI (who was boyfriend back then) got so mad at me he made my roommates check up on me to see if I was eatting!
  • I've been hungry constantly lately! I've been trying to keep my snacking under control, but it's hard.

  • I'm not doing too badly actually. Peppermint tea is pretty much my best friend for controlling hunger so I've been going through gallons of that. I've also stocked up on nuts to snack on if I really need to quell some hunger. It's surprising how much fuller 15 pistachios will make you for only about 60 calories :)

    That being said, I am craving TONS of food that's bad for me, mainly because I've been dieting since January. Just one example - we have this amazing southern comfort food place that has siracha mac and cheese balls, sweet and spicy chicken and waffles, and the best bread pudding in the world. Some days, the thing I'm most excited to do after the wedding is go to that restaurant. Belize will be great and all but I want some dang bread pudding!

  • I share the same feelings as most of you!  Salty / crunchy foods are always my downfall too.  And I definitely am a stress eater.  I have been doing a "Biggest Loser" comptetion with friends since Jan 1 so I've been hungry for months! LOL  Acutally it hasn't been so bad, I really have done well just changing my eating habits but I do still get those cravings.  But I'm so close to hitting my 20lb goal that it's been worth it. 

    Though tonight will be tough, heading out with the moms, sisters and my closest friends for a girls night in leiu of a bachelorette party.  There are a couple of glasses of wine and some delicious unhealthy meals calling my name!  I'll be working hard at the gym tomorrow!

  • I am a total emotional eater!  I'm not even hungry but the more stressed I get, the more I want to just eat to comfort me.  I had 4 kit kats, 5 mini reese's pb cups and a huge handful of cadbury mini eggs at 8am this morning for breakfast.  Stupid easter basket.  Yeah, I'm gross :/
  • I had Chevy's last night and a bunch of easter candy earlier this week. I'm a stress eater, and since my dress is fitted already, I'm just maintaining, not worrying about losing. I guess since my dress is poofy, I'm only worried about my arms looking chubby. Oh well, I'll perfect some arm thinning poses! I plan to really focus on my health after the wedding and everything, to get prepped to try for a baby! So till then... I'm eating normal lol

  • Yeah.  I could SO eat a deep-fried slab of bacon, wrapped in butter and smothered in cheese right about now.  Better yet, make it beer-battered and fry it twice so that it's extra crunchy. 

    Instead, I am eating yogurt, and it's making me really mad.

  • Chi - I am SO sick of yogurt.  That is my go-to for a healthy breakfast and I am pissed about it!  It tastes nasty to me now and I could also eat a deep-fried slab of bacon, wrapped in butter and smothered in cheese right about now.  Better yet, make it beer-battered and fry it twice so that it's extra crunchy. 

    Except I am a vegetarian, but I will put Morningstar veggie bacon in the real bacon's place and gooble that up!  In 28 more days, I might!

    Just keep your arms away from your side and that should do the trick. Based on what I've seen of you, I don't think you need to but if it makes you feel better  =)
