My Shower!

My shower was today and it was a lot of fun! A lot of people canceled at the last minute due to illness but it was still fun. It was at my mom's house. All the decorations were in purple (my favorite color and one of our wedding colors). 

 

The theme of the shower was Memories. So my mom had all the guests (and people who didn't come) write down their favorite.first memory of me and she put it all into a book for me.

 

My FI came to the shower for a little bit, just to help open the presents (my mom's dog Duchess helped out).

 

And we had a little fun with my FI...

 

And they made me a hat out of all the bows from the presents.

 

My FMIL made empanadas and potato balls (my favs!) and there was a ton of yummy food. And can't forget the cake!

 

Overall it was a fun day. We got a lot of nice gifts and had a ton of fun.

Love it!  We used the bows for a bouquet that gets saved for the rehersal.  I had never heard of the hat until a friend mentioned it at my shower a few weeks back.  So much fun!

Hehe, I love Duchess :-)  I wish my shower was at a home so we could involve some animals but we're doing it at FIL's church up in PA.

My FI and my puppy, Bailey, was there too! He was banned for most of it, being the insane, energetic puppy that he is. But he was allowed back in later, on his leash. Here's a pic of him at the party.

Yup, Mr. B is a chocolate lab. We got him when he was 8 weeks old from a breeder who is a friend  of FI's co-worker. He chose us. He was fast asleep and we wanted to see the puppies interacting, so the breeder was waking a few of the puppies up. Bailey got up, yawned, then lay down on my FI's foot. That was it! Now he's 1 and as crazy as ever. He has also been sick all week with a tummy issue. Your Daisy is adorable!
