April 2013 Weddings

OH NO!!!!!

So I mailed our  invitations late last week and they started arriving to our guests yesterday.  I talked to 2 of the people who got invites and both of them said that the ink had smeared.  I guess that's what I get for DIY'ing my invites on an inkjet printer.  They both assured me that it wasn't that bad, but I still feel horrible.  Cry

Re: OH NO!!!!!

  • Awww, I'm sorry :-(  Was the ink smeared on the envelopes or the invitations themselves?

I had to take mine to the post office in the rain and a drop hit one of my addresses that I had done in calligraphy.  I was kind of worried about it because it was going to Canada but it was just the name of my friend's date that got smudged and he's the one that lives in Canada anyway so I didn't sweat it too much.  That was the only one that got smudged because I had it sitting up differently from the rest of the invites so I knew to get different postage on it, therefore making it more vulnerable to the rain.

Hopefully it was only those two!!
  • Oh what a pain!  Don't feel bad some things are out of your control!
  • Aw, don't feel too bad; at least they arrived ok, so the smudging can't be that bad. I mailed mine over 2 weeks ago and FI's parents only just got theirs yesterday!
  • Aww I'm sorry sometimes that just happens as long as it communicates the information thats all that really matters.
