NWR: I stink at interior decorating!

How do I learn how to put together a decent-looking room?  I just got a new sofa delivered today and it looks SO ugly in our living room that it actually makes me want to cry.  The woods in here are a dark mahogany and this sofa (that was custom and is non-refundable/non-returnable) looks more like a brownish-orange. 

Is there a website to teach people how to pick things out that actually go together?  Aside from looking at magazines for ideas, I don't know what to do or how to put things together that don't look so horrid.  HELP!

have you heard of the blog- Younghouselove.com?  They have inspiration boards on their website and lots of decorating tips - They have some great advice.

Could you post a pic of the couch and the wood color that doesn't go? It's so hard to give decorating advice, especially on color, without knowing how it looks.
