AW! FI got a raise!

I am so happy for him!  He had this number in his head that he wanted to make, but it was out of reach for his company.  He got a raise a month ago when the company did raises, but it wasn't what he deserved.  He has taken on tons of work just to prove to them that he can do anything and yesterday he told his boss he was upset that he didn't get what he is worth.  Well, I guess they agreed!  He got a nice big raise!!  Yay FI!!

Nice!! That will help a lot for the future too, I'm sure. I wish my FI could get a raise... in my dream land lol

Woohoo!  That's awesome!  Good for him for stepping up and proving himself!

My FI should be selected for the next rank next month.  He'll get a raise for another year in service, another raise when we get married and then we just have to wait for him to actually be approved for promotion(whenever Congress gets around to it).  Altogether it'll be a nice chunk of change to have coming in especially b/c we don't know what my job situation looks like.  At least I have my small business to fall back on if I can't find a normal job.

Aw congrats! My FI works for a non-profit so raises are far and few in between. Just last month he was passed up for a raise because he hadn't quite been full-time a year, but he will be looked at next time there are raises. His boss really pushed for him to get a raise but it just didn't happen.

Congrats! My FI is up for another raise in May/June-although, he'll be doing the once a pay period furlough until September so it won't mean as much as it should until October but still a raise nonetheless ! It's a huge relief any time a little cushion room is added into finances... I'm up above my head stressed out with all these numbers for the wedding. I just want it to be here and over with!!
