Mailing invites question

Hi ladies, do you think it's ok to out all 140 invites in the mail box, or would it be better to bring them to the post office? Does it matter?

Thank you!

Re: Mailing invites question

  • I don't think it matters. I brought mine to the post office only because I wanted to ask to have them hand stamped. So instead of them running through the machine and being stamped with the post marks, the lady at the post office did it by hand. Apparently the machine can damage them and they just look nicer if they are hand stamped. I didn't actually see what any of them looked like that were mailed, so I don't know if it made a difference.

  • Thank you!
  • As long as your confident that you have the correct postage and don't care about hand canceling, you can send them out in your mailbox :-)
  • Perfect! FI took the invites to the post office and had them weighed before buying stamps, so we are good! Looks like I'm taking a walk to the mailbox now to mail them!!
  • Good stuff, congrats!  I did the same thing but I wanted to ask about hand canceling.  I'm pretty sure they weren't able to do it due to a lack of staff but oh well :-)  It's such a relief when you can get them off your hands!
  • Such a relief to have them in the mail! Almost to my 2 month mark! Happy planning ladies!
