Hi everyone!
 So happy to be on a board with other April 2013 brides!! I am newly engaged, and have already jumped right on into the wedding planning! I am a Connecticut bride. We were originally wanted to do an late fall of 2012 wedding, but when it came down to budget, and money April was our best bet and we could not be happier!

Congrats, i will be end of April 2013 our venue only allows booking one year in advance so i have to wait until april 2012 to book... its driving me crazy lol. We also wanted Sept 2012 but the venue was booked for every Sat in 2012 so we have to wait. I am a So Cal bride on a budget so there are few options for locations that have everything we want. Plus my braces will FINALLY be off by then for sure. (yep almost 30 and i have braces)

We have booked the venue, and I think we are going to take a break for a bit and actually enjoy our engagement!! my next two big checks will be dj and photographer. We have started to research but will probably set up appointments for february... this also gives FI and I time to save up some money, because I am assuming once we book they are going to want deposits. what about you!??

Aw, congrats! Once you get the venue out of the way you will feel a huge wait off your shoulders!  FI and I  also tried to do the "budget" thing.. our venue is at the top of our budget, but FI and I are down to try some DIY stuff. in the end i have heard from a lot of people that it will work out!

We booked our venue back in August. I used to work at the hall a few years ago and I have always wanted to have my reception there. At first we thought it would be too expensive (thanks to the knot and their $$$ labeled with it!!) but we found out they are actually cheaper than most of the places around us. Needless to say I was thrilled!!!

We have researched photogs and have narrowed it down to a few, but won't make appts until next year. I am getting very antsy! I got engaged over 7 months ago and time has flown by so hopefully it slows down a little bit so we can get everything done, haha!
