So, TK has eaten another day's worth of posts.  So frustrating.  I'm kind of getting tired of it, as I know most posters are.  Today's is ultra weird; posts I saw on Chrome this morning won't show on Firefox or IE. 

What's new with everyone today?  FI and I are looking at 4 houses tonight, two of which I really like minus the lack of central AC.  With one, the price is so low we could install central AC if that's even a possibility.  Buying here is sooo much better than renting right now.

I'm just finished with grad school in Cleveland, and ready to move to Toledo (2 hour drive) back home.  I hate renting and really wanna buy but don't know if we'll be able to with all my student loans.  My parents might buy a starter house for us, and we'll pay the mortgage on it for them (so we'll be paying for the house, but it will be in their name).  I agree that buying is so much better than renting here, because most house payments around home (including taxes) is cheaper than my apartment rent in Cleveland.  Good luck house-hunting tonight:)

I am at work right now, about to go on lunch. Tomorrow we are having a retirement party at work that I set up. It starts at 5am, so that means I have to get here by 430am to make sure everything is ready. I will be waking up at 230 am lol and I will be a zombie. The food better be worth it!

Jesslynn, Toledo's a nice city!  When I was young and we were poor, we'd "vacation" in Ohio all the time.  I hate Cleveland, but I like the other cities we can drive to from Pittsburgh.  FI might actually be working in Youngstown this year.

vk, what kind of food are y'all having?  I'd die if I had to get to work at 4 AM, ugh.

we got a puppy today! he is living with FI although i will have to have him sleepover because I miss him already! he is a morkie.  His name is Swayze! i am in love

Erbear - we have eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, bagels, danish etc. It was very good. Later on we are doing a BBQ and grilling burgers and hot dogs. It kind of sucks because it is pouring right now. I got less than 3 hours of sleep and I am running on fumes lol.

Speaking of TK eating stuff...several of my favorite dresses/designers are no longer availble to look at on TK. Thankfully I saved the dress to my favorites, and I can still see them there, but I can't pull up a page with just the dress....They're still up on the individual websites, and from recent collections (spring '12), but I guess TK decided they don't like them anymore?

And....PUPPY! So cute.

You guys are going to think I'm nuts, but I love the smell of puppy breath!  Wish we could have a puppy here!

Here in my area of Chicago, even starter homes are $250k so we won't be buying any time soon.  :-(    It's in my 5 year plan, though.  Renting does stink, but with the amount we have saved up for a house right now, our mortgage payments would be astronomical.  I want to save at least 1/3 for the down payment to get the monthly payments more manageable.  It'll take a while.  lol
