FIs say the darnedest things..

The other night we were sitting at the dinner table discussing wedding colors and what the guys would wear. My FI asked me "well what color are you wearing?" I thought that I had misheard him so I asked "What color am.. I wearing?" With a straight face he said "yea.." so I repeated myself "What color am..I wearing... to OUR wedding?" He finally got it after that and was like "oh, duhh" Anyone else have funny stories about their FIs and wedding planning?

I posted it in chit chat a little while ago, but my FI seriously thought that at the door of the reception we'd have a donation bucket/jar (to cut the cost) because weddings are so expensive and because he saw it on an episode of MTV's true life: I'm getting married where the groom was crazy.  LOL. I told him "no, we can't charge admission to the wedding, and if guests want to give us money, they'll put it in a card:)"  He's said some other funny/cute things but that stuck with me.

Fi says funny stuff all the time, but not usually wedding related. He has decided he has to be careful with his "funny" suggestions, because I usually think they're actual good ideas and then I want to do them. Like when he thought it would be funny to have his beard during the ceremony and shave it off for the reception...I am so on board with that! But now he's not sure he wants to do it. He's worried he'll end up with too much irritation or nicks...But it would still be so hillarious...

That would be sweet!  half the pics with the beard/half without?
I guess it's a similar to me wearing a long princess skirt for the wedding and a tea-length skirt for the reception:)
