Mailing Invitations?

Hello Ladies

I had a mini panic attack last night when I looked at the calendar.  I knew the wedding was getting close but then I realized oh wait that means I need to mail out invites. lol.  So my wedding is April 12, I have heard I should mail out invites 8 weeks prior so that would mean around February 15, correct?  I just want to make sure I am on the right track.  When are you ladies planning on sending yours out?

Yup we are doing 2 months out as well. Maybe slightly sooner if we get our envelopes back sooner, but 8 weeks is our goal.

Yeah 8 weeks is the standard. For some reason the knot says 3 months, but the knots timeline is wrong on so many things and its purpose is to get you buying from them sooner. 8 weeks is about two months from the wedding and is enough time for guests to see if they're free that day and make arrangements if they need to. Any sooner and you're likely to be chasing a lot of people down for RSVPs.

My stationer suggested we mail out ours valentine's day week.  That's about 7 weeks from our wedding.

We have a lot of out of town family coming in for the wedding (approx 40% of our guests), so I'm mailing ours a month earlier than usual (so 12 weeks prior). Excessive, maybe... but I feel like many of our guests want to have an invitation in their hands before they book their flights.

Ours will end up being mailed about 11 weeks out, but it's a destination wedding so that kind of changes things a little.

We sent ours out today, but it's a destination wedding and our venue needs numbers earlier than most.

Ours is pretty much a destination wedding, too, so they're going out around the 12 week mark.

I mailed mine out at the 3 month mark. But I sent no save the dates so I figrued I should go ahead and do it

I am getting married on April 26th and the lady I got my invites from said I should mail them out by Valentine's Day.

We didn't send out STDs and just yesterday I emailed all the wording to our invite lady so she can get them ordered for us. Yikes!
People are getting anxious and want to know where to book their room. I just want to knock them in the head and tell them to WAIT.. it's COMING!

We sent ours out at the 3 month mark on the nose. A bit early? Yes. But once the invites were done, printed, assembled, stamped and etc, it seemed pointless not to just stick them in the mail. So we did. Big stress off my shoulders for sure! Also, bonus of people RSVPing early!

I'll have mine out 7 weeks prior to the wedding. It's the fastest we can do it.

We sent ours earlier this week! Our wedding is 4 hours away from us and a lot of people have to travel.

We're sending ours two months prior, so Feb 14th for our April 14th day

Mine our going out January 25th! Im doing mine 10 weeks before our April 5th wedding, mainly because my weddings on a Friday, so if people have to make arrangements they can. Plus we didnt send out STD, so the extra two weeks isnt a big deal. Ive had them done and ready to go for almost a month lol

I plan on mailing mine on Valentines Day a year to the day we got engaged. Ladies just an FYI in case you don't know but postage is going up on January 27th. I was planning on having mine done and stamped and then found out about the rate change. Just want everyone to know.

I feel like I might be mailing mine out later than anyone else. I'm getting married April 6th but waiting till end of Feb to mail them out. If I mail them out sooner I'm afraid people will forget the date.
