3 checks today!

Hi! We got the invitations out this morning, picked up our wedding bands which are beautiful and fit perfectly, and we did our registry at Bed Bath and Beyond! Huge things! I am so happy to have gotten the invitations out, they have been stressing me out! Any checks or wedding news from you girls?

Woah why'd you send your invitations so early? We aren't sending ours til Feb 26th... Nice on the other checks!

Yay for getting the invites out! They are starting to stress me out.

I thought 3 months was the norm? I dunno, though.
I didn't send STD's and am working on invites right now so they can be sent out ASAP.
Today I got an email from the church confirming that they okay-ed the ceremony time change.
And, I emailed my WP to tell her about a meeting I'd like her to attend.

That's about it for me!

We're sending our invites out 3 months before.  Everything I've seen online and in wedding planning books says 3 months so that's what I rolled with.

I have always read, including on the knot's checklist to get them out at the 3 month mark. We are 3 and a half months away, but that is close enough for me! We have so many things to do it felt nice to get a big thing done. Plus, I am quite positive our family and friends won't mind if they get invites a week or two early. Great job on the checks girls!!

Over the holidays we bought our wedding bands, designed and ordered our Thank You cards and photo guest book, and confirmed tux rentals. We should receive the photo guest book this next week and I can't wait to see it! We also have been working on our registries (Target and Amazon) and have kept our wedding website up-to-date. Today I confirmed that the bridesmaid dresses should come in mid-Feb.

Next weekend we will finalize our reception menu, I will have my hair and makeup trial, and we will order our invitations and hopefully be able to send them out by mid-late February. I know we will run a bit late on the etiquette timeframe for the invites, but we did send Save the Dates. Plus we will be reimbursed for the invites from our tux shop, so it's a deal that's hard to pass up!

I'm hoping within the next few weeks to also find my wedding shoes (omg) and get my first fitting for my dress. FMIL has been working on our ribbon wands for our exit from the Chapel, so hopefully those will be finished soon, too!

There is still so much to do! I'm trying not to stress out

Ehhh I wouldn't rely too much on the knots checklist, it said to wait til this month to book our HM and rent tuxes last month when honestly you can go two weeks before and get a tux. Three months seems too early to me just because the earlier you send them out the higher chance you'll be chasing people down for RSVPs. I've heard 8 weeks you should send them out. Shrugs. I'm sure it'll be fine I just heard differently. Goes to show all the different info out there for brides!

To add onto my post and looking at everything everyone else is doing I think I have been a little too lax on planning lately.. Lol. Still have to resize my band, rent tuxes, print menus and make programs and place cards, put the invites together and send them out, book a limo, get my dress altered, do hair and makeup trial, get bridal party gifts, create welcome bags, meet with baker about grooms cake, meet with florist to finalize contract... Ok I'm overwhelming myself a little... Uh oh

Yes. I kind of freak myself out, too, when I start listing everything to myself. For many things we have been working on them slowly - wedding party gifts, questionnaire for the officiant to make our wedding story, etc. We have a lot to do still, but still 3 months to go. We will get through it! :)

It's hard to get out of the no planning funk I've been in the past few months when there was nothing to do.. But the things to do are making their comeback! Lol

Congrats on getting these things done! Over Christmas I ordered invitations and I'm waiting for them to come in now; we'll be sending them out at the end of this month, as we have many overseas guests and mailing will take a little longer.
