annoyed that the big day is still so.far.away? I definitely am. I have everything done already (with the exception of paying for stuff) and I just want it to be here right now. I originally wanted a fall wedding but since he didnt propose until December, it didn't us a whole lot of time financially to save. I just wanna wear my pretty dress and marry the love of my life nooooooww!

I completely agree with all of this! I wanted a fall wedding as well, but after issues with the ring taking forever to come in he wasn't able to propose until Feb. I'm so ready for the big day and I hope these next 8 months speed by!

omg FI and I are both feeling that...we do not live together. its getting so old saying good night and going to our separate homes at night. 8 months for us today and that feeeeeellls soooo faaarrr awayyyy!!!

Yep I'm ready...we're 6 hrs apart from each other so setting aside weekends just to see each other when we're not deployed is getting old fast.  I'm offshore from Hawaii for a couple more weeks(work, not pleasure).  Luckily, when I get back, FI and I will fly to NC the next day and meet with the florist, baker and caterer and maybe I will book some hair/makeup appts?  His parents are also coming down to meet my parents for the first time and we're going over to my parents' rental house to start brainstorming about decorations and to show them where the tent will go, etc :-D  Hopefully, we can finally wrap up the Save the Date design and get the ball rolling on that.  I am SO ready to get married and go to Costa Rica!!!

Pretty sure I've exclaimed "I just want to get married already" at least once a day for the past week.  He originally wanted an October wedding, too.

Same here!!! FI and I were originally going to have a November of 2012 wedding, but could not swing it with the money. It still feels soooo far away! I have projects to do, but I don't want to do them too soon because I don't want to not have anything to do! Come December everything will begin to pick up. We have a details meeting that time with out venue, and I know we meet with our photographer 45 days out. Still sooo FAR!!!

Oh ladies!!! I feel your pain, but honestly, I think it's going to be here faster than we know it!!! And then it will all be over... I'm trying to savour every moment of being a fiance. I'm sure I'll look back and miss this time period, since it's the only time I'll ever be engaged and what an exciting time!!!

That being said only 249 days for us April 20th girls!!!!

I agree I am so ready to get married!!  I wanted a spring weddng rather than fall and summer was out due to FI not liking the heat, we got engaged last November.

Yes!! I really wanted a fall wedding. I probably could have planning wise as long as things were open... but 4 months was just way too little time. So April it was! I do wish it was sooner. But then again, I guess it's nice to have everything done for the most part so that I can just be stress free throughout the holidays.... Hopefully the time will fly!

Okay I guess I'm on my own here by saying, I'm a little freaked out that I'm under the 8 month mark! I live in DC and the wedding is in TX, so it's been a time-consuming process. Basically any planning I do happens on the phone after work (which means 8pm or later) or I have to take off work and fly to Texas. Now we're in full-fledged campaign season at work (I'm going to the presidential conventions in 2 weeks---agghh!) and I'm like how am I planning a wedding, too??!

Just last weekend, we planned to register on Saturday and then Friday at 11pm I found out I had to be at work the next day...for 12 hours. I'm definitely glad I still have time to get everything done.

I feel the SAME WAY!!! I wanted a fall wedding but he insisted we wait until spring so that we could save & have plenty of time to plan. I'm already done with most of the planning and ready to say "I do!".

With that said, I'm sure the next 8 months will fly by and it will be more than worth the wait!

I'm excited to be married, for sure, but am def savoring our engagement time together! Plus I am liking that we have time to plan the wedding and really get it all figured out! And my best friend is getting married in November, so we've got crunch time on that before mine...and time has already flown by (9 months, what?!) and we've still got a lot to go! I'm enjoying the anticipation!!

Me too! We have all of the big stuff done and even a ton of small DIY projects... I guess when I look at it I actually have a ton of stuff to do like booking hotel rooms, honeymoon, limo, marriage license, hair and makeup person, programs, escort cards, bridesmaid dresses... Most of which I can't do until the last few months anyway. Im hoping classes will help it get here sooner cause fall semester always flies by.. But I do agree that when this is all over I will miss wedding planning.

Totally!  Unfortunately, my FI found out right after we got engaged that he was beign transfered to Ireland for work for a year.  So we did a TON upfront so that we could enjoy it together instead of me having to be the sole decision maker.  SO yes.  I can't frikkin wait for April!!!!!!!!!!  We have hotel rooms, I have my dress, the bmaids dresses are ordered, I have my shoes, STDs went out, venue, menu, florist, photog, cake, church, (his dad is doing the ceremony), and we have honeymoon location... just haven't booked yet. 

of course there is a ton left... but the bulk is out of the way!
