So...we were all set on Saturday to go look at what it probably our best bet for an affordable venue (who it too me a week and a half to set up the appointment with), driving down the freeway and...lurch, sputter, shake shake shake, decellerate, pull off the freeway, call AAA, towed across 3 cities. Fi took me to work, and picked me up. I just got moved to a store about 30 minutes from home (vs the 5 minutes from home before), so Fi turned picking me up from work into date night. We went to dinner, walked around WalMart, and got dessert. My car was fixable, and sort of affordably so, so it wasn't the end of the world. There was a minute there where Fi and I were thinking I was going to have to get a new car and that we would have to put off the wedding...No one liked that idea, so it's good the car is now OK. But we did have to cancel the appointment, and I'll have to reschedule, so hopefully that won't be too difficult.
Completely unrelated,we had a spring cleaning day around the apartment yesterday. Fi is not QUITE a neat-freak, but he's deffinitly more into tidyness than I am. I believe a little clutter makes a place feel homey and lived in. But it was getting pretty bad, so now the apartment is clean, and it feels like I live in a new place. It's nice, but a little unnerving. But I did agree I like the results, so we agreed to do a once monthly whole apartment cleaning. It only took us a year to figure that one out...
