Getting upset over RSVPs

Hello. I know our guests have 3 weeks left to RSVP, but I am getting sad. We have about half of them back, haven't gotten one in almost a week, and have only 3 friends that replied. We don't have a ton of friends, but we thought the 16 combined friends we do have would have been excited.. Maybe not. I love our families, but it will be heartbreaking if we have very few friends show up.. Ugg. This is the worst part... RSVPs.

Aww :-/  I'm sure they'll come!  Some of them may just be waiting on work schedules, school schedules, etc.

Don't be sad, they will come! Keep in mind that a lot of people see the RSVP date and think that they have a lot of time to send them in. People procrastinate lol I would expect a lot of them to come in very close to the RSVP date.

Don't worry... They'll show up. Honestly probably after the RSVP date because that's just how people are lol. I'm not looking forward to it. My invites go out next week.

I feel you! I sent a text to all my friends though (I talk to them a lot so it made sense) to make sure they got the invite because I wanted to make sure it wasn't lost. That reminded all of them and they were like, oh ya and I have to send the rsvp! haha. But agreed- a lot of people wait till the last minute, and you may even have to make phone calls because people just forget it!

Don't be upset! I know most people don't send their resonses back until the last possible date - or later! I know I am guilty of it too.

Don't feel bad, I used to do a lot of event hosting and most people either RSVP right away or they wait until the last minute. The middle is usually very slow.

Everyone RSVPed for my shower last minute...my sister/MOH ended up calling about 7 people on the guest list (which was only about 30 to begin with...). So, really, don't feel bad. People will RSVP. or you'll end up calling them and they'll have totally forgotten and feel like fools about it.

However, I agree that the waiting is the hardest part. I'm dying to get more RSVPs, but I know they aren't due for a month! It's killing me!

Aw, don't worry, there's still plenty of time for people to get their rsvps in. My deadline is March 1st and we've only got 14 back so far, most of them people we already knew were coming or not coming. Most of our friends here in town haven't replied yet. It is frustrating though... it's like, just put it in the mailbox!

Thanks ladies   It is frustrating.  We only have a few friends that do not work with FI - the ones that work with him are the ones I am really thinking "Come on, just send it already!"  We know you got the invite because you told us - You see him everyday, so you remember!  The other 3 friends that do not work there may have forgotten, but even they see me on facebook counting down the days and such... I just wish they would reply so we know what we are working with!  I think I am going to be making lots of calls in the next few weeks   I have most of my extended family that have not responded either.. It could be a wedding of 45 or of 90 - It would be nice to know!
