April 2013 Weddings

Tanning?

Well, I was thinking about tanning before the wedding, but kind of decided against it since I am lazy and I am usually pretty pale, so I wanna look like me in my pics.  Well, thanks to the AZ sun today I have a nice farmers tan, I mean burn!  Nice.  That will look hot in a strapless dress! To the tanning salon I go... I think I will just go about 4 weeks before the wedding, twice a week so I get a little color, but not too much.  Eh, I look better a little tan anyway :)

  • I'm going tanning too and I haven't been since my junior prom. I usually hate the idea but my dress looks amazing with a tan and I doubt I'll have a natural one by the wedding. You can bet if there's a hot day ill be oiling up and laying outside , fo free!!

  • I am getting a spray tan :) I have done it in the past and my sister has a great recc on one for the wedding. She used her for her sils wedding. Someone airbrushes you. I am going to try it out before the wedding. I am going to first do it three days before my bacheloretter on March 23 and the Wednesday before the wedding.

  • I started tanning this week. I don't want to get too dark, so I plan on going just a few times a week as well.

I will probably end up going out to the pool for a week or so before the wedding and get a natural tan. My FSILs may drag me to the beach, but with Spring Break coming up I really don't wanna be a part of that. So to the pool I guess. I might be able to start as soon as this cold front goes way!

  • I'm also super pale, but will be in Florida for work all this week and will attempt to get some color!

<div>Ummm yea, ugh Spring Break!  Where are you?  I'm in Panama City Beach...gahhh.</div><div>
</div><div>I will probably go to the tanning bed.  I hate the tanning bed but since the neckline on my dress is so low once the modesty piece is removed, I don't have any swimsuits that will work with that neckline.  The modesty piece will come out after the ceremony so yea.  </div><div>
</div><div>Also, I'm very pale and we're going to Costa Rica for our honeymoon.  I don't want to be writhing in pain from an awful sunburn so I need to get somewhat of a base tan at least so I don't turn into a lobster.</div>

I'm in Tampa. All the beaches around here get crowded, especially St. Pete and Clearwater Beaches. I'd like to stay as far away as possible from that madness.

Yay! I'm moving to St. Pete after the honeymoon :. I live in the middle of PCB so I'm smack in the middle of the country's biggest spring break again this year. So far I've successfully avoided the obnoxious neon colored "YOLO" tshirts.
  • I'm not tanning. I'm white as the driven snow, always have been, always will be. I actually have never gotten a tan in my life. I burn, peel, and then go back to being incredibly pale. So, even though I have a very bare top in my dress, it's just gonna be superwhite me ;)

Yay we'll be neighbors! The Tampa area gets pretty bad. Luckily my FI and I found our venue in Dade City. Not many people go there for Spring Break. When I picked the date I did not take Spring Break into consideration, so I'm glad we found (and love) this venue.

</div><div>I can't wait to get down there and get back into some culture and away from all of the rednecks!!  Our venue is tucked away in North Carolina and we chose the last weekend before the summer season starts on purpose.  I'm actually glad we chose to get married there instead of staying local.  :-)</div>
  • I have been going tanning 1-2 times a week for a few years now. I know it is bad for you but my skin is pretty sensitive so the fake sun actually helps keep it moisturized and not dry and itchy. I asked my guys about a spray tan and he surprisingly advised me against it. He told me it doesn't last too long and if I get it too close to the wedding it may rub off on my dress. I said "no thank you, please put me in a stand up" :)

  • I am planning to start going this week too. I havent tanned since HS, skin cancer runs in my family so I am REALLY against it. Making an acception for the wedding though. I am 75% irish so it also gives me freckles YUCK but I definitely look better with a tan :)

An older lady in a North Carolina Hardee's once told me that my freckles are beauty marks, haha.  I used to hate mine, too, until she said that.  It totally changed my 13 year old perspective of my pokey spots ;-)

I take offense to that! I absolutely LOVE my freckles!

There is nothing wrong with freckles! I have about a million of them all over my face and body and I love them! Someone told me I needed foundation to cover them up and I was like "What for?" I'm not covering them up on my wedding because not only do I love them, so does my FI.
