NWR: moisturizer/lotion

I'm dry, itchy and it seems like everything  I use on my face is making me break out. Any one have any recommendations?

Re: NWR: moisturizer/lotion

  • Eucerin or Aquaphor.  Our apartment is HORRIBLY dry when the heat is on and those are the only 2 that work for us, without aggrivating our daughter's eczema.

  • I use cetaphil moisturizer.

    Anniversary
  • I use Neutrogena multi-defence daily moisturizer. It has SPF, it goes on light not greasy, and it's ok on my sensitive skin.
  • I use Clinique moisturizer.  I went to Macys and the women helped me pick the one that worked for my skin.

  • Yay Christine!  Me too!  Did you see their pinterest contest???
  • I swear by the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle cream, but it contains retinol that can be really harsh on your skin. In the winter when I'm spending a lot of time on the slopes and the retinol irritates my skin, I have found that the Neutrogena Ageless Essentials Continuous Hydration night cream works well.

I have oddly sensitive skin in that certain creams make me break out. It's not a fragrance thing--I don't really know why, but these are two items I swear by, and I've tried damn near everything.
  • I have used Suave cucumber lotion on my face for YEARS. I have very sensitive skin and am prone to break outs. Suave has been the only lotion that I can use on my face with no issues at all. I put it on post shower and I am good to go.

  • I used to nanny for an Indian family and about an hour before she would bathe, or give her kids a bath, she'd rub them down with olive oil and they all had special robes to sit in for that hour.  Then they'd bathe/shower.  That family had the softest skin I've ever felt!  I'm seriously considering trying it for the month before the wedding.  I know it sounds weird, but man.... I saw the benefits first-hand.  This might be great for those with sensitive skin - no chemicals or perfumes.
