Final fitting is TODAY!!!

My final dress fitting is today right after I get off of work. I am super excited to see how the corset back turned out! (or as my mother puts it the "ugly backing *sigh*) I'll have to post pictures so I can get your opinions on it.

Great!  How exciting!  I can't wait to see pics!

I won't get mine back until one week before the wedding!  I just took it in last weekend though.  I don't get multiple fittings, just one more when I pick it up.  I imagine if anything is wrong she would fix it.  Mine is super easy though, just taking it in approx one size, no hem, no bustle.

Awesome, I can't wait to see pictures either. I'm sure it looks great, the back too! Why would your mom say such a thing? Although if I'm honest, I'm sure there will be bits of my wedding that my mom doesn't like and she won't be afraid to tell me (she's been almost completely out of the whole planning process).

I pick up my dress tonight too! Only alterations she did was hem the liner and add some bra cups for me since my strapless bra pretty much squished my boobs flat LOL

My mom has convinced herself that the corset back will take away from the elegance of the dress and will make it look horrible. Nothing I or anyone else has said can make her change her mind. Hopefully seeing the finished product will.

Most of the weddings I've been to, they've had corset backs. In elegant satin gowns! It's pretty common, definitely doesn't take anything away! I'm sure it will look great!

Awesome!  I go on Friday for my final fitting and to have my Bridesmaid learn the bustle.  The seamstress will hold it until the day before the wedding and it includes a press/steam.

Sorry to hear about your mom -- mine has been the same way the whole time!  She thought I should get buttons/zipper in the back, not a corset.....white, not ivory....and her newest development?  She wanted to wear ivory herself! UGH!
