Save The Dates

We haven't taken epics yet, but I'd really like to get STD's sent out. We have only 1 picture of us together, that was on a period day where I am just in a slouchy tshirt and it was taken with his phone, so NOT GOOD lol.

Will we be looked down upon for sending them out w/o pictures of us on them??

Re: Save The Dates

  • I don't think so. We sent ours out without our picture. My fiance hates his picture being taken and always look awkward. Just make it your own that shows your personality.

  • Save the Dates without photos would be much faster for you to send out and cheaper!  Our StD process got so ridiculous that I almost wished that we had chosen an option without a picture because it would have been much easier.  Ours ended up turning out really well, though, so maybe it was worth the hassle?
  • We didn't include a picture on ours and I loved them! They were very pretty and classy.

  • I think you will be fine if you went without a picture.

  • We didn't have our pic on ours (as you can see in my siggy). We ordered them before we got our e-pics taken. Its perfectly fine to have STDs without a picture.

  • I think both are fine - it's just whatever you want. I think, had we not gone with a movie poster kind of theme (which my FI had thought of MONTHS before we were even engaged and was really into), I would have done without pictures. I think they look very classy!
  • I've seen both with and without, and both look good.  Ours are (finally) just about all sent, and as you can tell from the siggy, no pic on them.  Really, though, the STDs are a great place to either set the style tone for the wedding or to just let your own personality out.  I've seen some magnet ones, some calendar ones, all kinds of things.  Ours were simple, glossy cards, and FI decided (after they were in) he wanted to do a QR code for our wedding website, so he printed out a bunch on clear address labels and trimmed them down, then stuck them on a spot on the back that looked balanced with the rest of the design.  Not sure if any of our guests have even noticed it, but he liked them, and even figured out a way to get the actual blocks of the QR code to spell out our names.

One thing to remember: The wedding is just one day. The marriage is all the rest of them.

  • I decided against save the  dates. To much money that i can use else where. we have told anyone who has to travel far for the wedding what the date is, but other than that i think a 3 month prior invitation is a pretty good save the date! ;)
