Wedding and reception location ideas

My fiancé and I are trying to plan our wedding, but we can't seem to find the perfect place! I need wedding and reception ideas that I can bring my own caterer! And I also need a place big enough for about 200! Can anyone help me? Thanks!! Also we are looking to do the wedding and reception at the same place! our date is April 7, 2012!

I am in the same boat as your are!  I just can't find the "right" place.  All the places I have looked at online include EVERYTHING where I have no choices, or include NOTHING and cost a fortune just to rent the place.  I would love to find a place that provides the food, tables, chairs, linens, and china, but allows us to choose our vendor for the alcohol and music.  We are also planning a 2012 wedding....but in November!

Try the Shaw Center, Louisiana State Museum, Old Governor's Mansion, Old State Capitol (all downtown), or Magnolia Mound (near downtown on Nicholson) All of these venues allow you to bring in your own caterer.  They do have recommended caterers though.

We actually moved our date up to March 10, 2012... and we are doing it in Denham Springs in the North Park REcreation Gym..... It's a huge building which has no restrictions and has all of the tables and chairs. and very reasonably priced!! The cheapest place we found!
