party venue ideas - not a wedding reception

So my fiance and I are having a destination wedding and returning to town to have a party with all our friends. I don't want to feel or cost like a typical wedding reception.
Does anyone know of any cheap place for a party for between 150 and 200 people?

What part of town are you looking for?

What is your price range/max budget?

We're pretty flexible in location for the right place. We'd prefer west side of town because about half of our guest will be coming that direction from out of town.

As for budget - as cheap as possible! In an ideal world I'd like it to be a place that we can bring out own alcohol (to save money) because my fiance doesn't like the idea of a cash bar.

i would try VFW/knights of columbus/fraternal order halls. they usually have very low rental rates and allow you to bring in your choice of caterer/outside alcohol.
