Van Hotard Photography - Great Photographer - Definitely consider!!

I got married about a month ago in a very simple ceremony on the Algiers side of the river on the levee. It was a beautiful day and we got married at sunset. As the ceremony got going we noticed some people snapping photos who were not party of the wedding (only our families were there for the wedding). Turns out it was Van Hotard who is a professional wedding photographer. He and his father ended up taking hundreds of photos of the ceremony and afterwards and gave us 2 CDs of photos. We hadn't hired a photographer (we were relying upon our families) but this was an amazing surprise and the photos were great and he took time to adjust them and do some special editing of the photos and they were beautiful. This was all without hiring him as our photographer so I can only imagine that he'd do a wonderful job and deliver great images.

well it looks like your wedding date is 2010 in your profile, yet you claim to have gotten married a month ago....and this is your only post...this REEKS of a vendor.

I think your whole story sounds made up. And I can guaruntee you, any good, reputable photog would not be hanging around on levees just waiting to catch a bride and groom getting married....all of the amazing photogs are booked a year+ out, nor do they need to give out things for free.

If you actually are a bride (which I highly doubt), it's a good thing you didn't pay anything for those pictures because what is showcased on their website is horrible. Poor use of natural light and little to no editing. I could have taken better pictures.
