changing name at which social security office?

hey ladies! I can't find an answer to this so i thought i'd check with ya'll... i want to go to the social security office this afternoon and start the process of changing my name. Does anyone know if you can go to ANY office or must it be the one down town? someone told me the office in Kenner is way less crouded than the one downtown.
