Engagement Photos...Not like I hoped for

A few weeks ago our photographer posted a 'preview' of our engagement photos on her fb site. The photos were taken 3 weeks ago. Since then, I haven't seen anything or heard anything from her since. When do you normally get all of your pictures back? She is giving us the copyrights to them all, so its not like we need for her to print us an album.

The reason I'm so neurotic about them is this: I really wanted outside photos. The day we got them taken, there was this freak storm right as our shoot was about to start. Therefore, we were forced to find places inside and I hadn't picked backup options so we kind of just hit random inside places. So the photos don't really have the type of backdrop I'm looking for, and I'm really scared I'm gonna look crappy in the photos, since when we were changing locations, I got rained on a little. The first couple photos from the preview I really like, but there are some that I look like a drowned rat. I think they look horrible. I am really freaking out about them and anxious why its taking so long.  You can check out this link to see for yourself.. What do you think of the pictures, really?/

Awwww I think you look great! I understand your frustrations though... I am so paranoid about our photo session that will take place in a month! If it rains, though, I know it will all turn out okay. I really do think yours turned out so pretty!

I think they look great! But I understand . . . I'm super critical too. We don't know what you usually look like to be able to tell you whether we think you look more "drowned rat-ish" than normal. ;);)  It could be taking her longer because she's editing them . . . I say give her another week or so and then maybe drop her a line to "check in". If you're really unhappy with them once you see them all, you could always try and arrange a re-do, although you'll probably be charged for it.

I love the one of you guys leaning on the restaurant counter. :)

Thanks girls. My fiance thinks I'm being crazy but I am really picky about pictures. According to him, "Your hair doesn't look as good as normal and I know you hate it that way but I think it is fine and no one will notice." So maybe they are ok after all and I'm just being overly critical...

I see NO drowned rat. You are beautiful. Those are incredible photos.
My photographer usually takes 6 to 8 weeks or longer. She has a 2nd job but warned us way in advance about the time. I would rather them be done right then done rushed. Just a thought.

you guys look amazing. some of the shots are just so awesome, i don't know what you normally look like but i think they are great, i can totally understand though b/c for my photos it was soooo hot and i got really sweaty so my hair was really flat but after i saw the photos i thought it didn't show as bad as what i expected at all. from what i have seen they are professional so you guys are going to look good. i think mine took a few weeks too but i know how bad you want to see the rest. those are great pics.

Wow those look good to me! The photographer also found some really cool places inside just for you to not have planned them. I like the couch pictures and the counter.

I think they look great. I know I love our photographer, but there were some pictures I thought I looked twice as big as I normally am. I think that we are just very critical over our pictures because we are women and we want to look good and we pick apart everything. Do not worry about it you look great and when you look back a year from now you wont think you look like a "drowned rat."
