Ideas for anniversary trip?

H and I booked a week stay for our anniversary in October (at Hotel Royal). I'd like to surprise him with something special, does anyone know of a restaurant with either a great wine dinner or chefs table? I'm also looking for any other restaurant ideas, we always go to the same places that are tried and true and are ready for something new. Usually we make sure to stop at Commander's, Cake Cafe, Willie Mae's, Port of Call, Angeli's, Clover Grill, Brennan's, Palace Cafe, New Orleans Grapevine and El Gato Negro. So pretty much, anything, all different price points are welcome. Thanks!

The night after the wedding hubby and I did dinner and drinks at the Bombay Club. There are super cozy private tables with a love-seat for 2 and a curtain, live music.  Food was good and chocolate martinis are the best I've ever had.  This was after a  treatment at the Ritz spa (massage and they have something called a 'Bath for Two', which would be romantic for an anniversary celebration)

We also had a phenomenal meal at Cochon (http://www.cochonrestaurant.com/)
  • Ooooh, I gotta say we boycott The Bombay Club. The owner is the neighbor who complains about music being too loud at our venue.

Thanks for the suggestion though, and I will put Cochon on the list!
  • The Pelican Club is great. I'm having my Bachelorette dinner there.
    Also:
Herb Saint- my fiance took me here for our first date :)
    Bouche
    NOLA
    Bayona- Susan Spicer!
    Stella!

  • Restaurant August. Hands down.  Do the five course tasting menu. ZOMG.

The Pelican Club is awesome too.  I had the best steak I've had in my life there for my company Christmas party.  It's got a very romantic vibe too. =)

  • Nola, I think it is definitely time for us to try August. We're thinking of doing Feelings also, ever been?
