How many cake pulls did you get for your wedding?  10? 15? 20?  Who gets to pull them?

Just trying to decide how many I need to get.

    i was under the impression that they were just for your bridesmaids. no? I'll be interested in hearing this answer too, as i'm a NOLA transplant from up north!

    I bought mine, and they were a set of 8.

    It is not just for bridesmaids. You can pick any single ladies to participate. Some of my bridesmaids are married so they will not be doing a cake pull.

    Traditionally, cake pulls are for any single women you want to include. Most of my friends are married though, so I'm picking about 10 friends, and excluding any charms that mean the person will get married next, etc.

    Also, they are soooo much cheaper if you make them! I went to Gary's craft store and got a lot of really cute charms and some nice ribbon, and it cost me about $25. So worth the effort of tying the ribbons to the charms.

    8, all of my BM's are married/engaged except one so we are marking the ring so she gets it. It is coming with our cake, so it was easier that way. Takes a little fun out of it, but was easy.

    I made my cake pulls. A lot of the people we invited are either married or engaged, so I picked stuff that wasn't geared towards single people. I even did one for my flower girl. It worked out great.

    My cake was from Swiss, and they included all of the cake pulls at no charge! 

    I requested all "good" pulls.  I received the thimble at a friend's wedding (which means old maid) and it wasn't funny at the time :)  I made sure my ladies all had something to smile about!

    I picked some single girls who are attending the wedding that i wanted to be a part of the cake pull. They can be but arent limited your bridesmaids!
