Dress Maker - Help needed!!!

Has anyone had a seamstress that made their wedding dress?  I am looking for someone to make my dress and haven't had much luck because most are busy with Mardi Gras until March.  My wedding isn't until June, but I don't want to wait that long to meet with someone.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

I had my dress made for me, but up in CT, closer to where I'm from. Pictures of my dress are here: http://www.twirlphotography.com/blog/?p=236.

This is probably not helpful at all, but he was amazing. If you could make it up there twice this Spring, you could pull it off. Let me know if you'd like his contact info.

Go to Promenade Fine Fabrics on St. Charles and ask for recommendations.  I am using Leslie Walters to make mine. I got her name from the guy at Promenade. He also gave me two other names but I don't have their info anymore.  I will warn you though she isn't beginning my dress until March and my wedding is in May...so be prepared to be a little nervous if you wanted something started right away.

Here is some of her info along with a lot of other people who do work on costumes and set designs for Hollywood South.  It's in alphabetical order so just scroll down to her stuff. (I am pretty sure the cell phone number just forgot to include area code 504).

Try eBay believe it or not.  You can get a custom dress for under $200 including shipping in only 4-6 weeks.  This is where I'm getting my dress.  I've been an online seller so a couple of pieces of advice make sure the seller has at least 99% positive feedback rating  and look at how long they've been a seller.  Good Luck!
