Are favors still in?

I remember going to a few weddings a few years back and they had bubbles, wine stoppers and other crap as favors, I was just wondering are favors still in?

I think they are always a nice gesture, but I prefer edible favors if any.  Photobooths are always a really fun favor as well.

We had custom koozies for bottled drinks and custom "go cups" for mixed drinks.  We ordered enough for guests to take both if they wanted.

I think most everyone appreciates something edible and yummy.  We're doing pralines in our welcome bags.  For the wedding, we'll have a photobooth, and also give a litle bag containing boxed rum-soaked Jamaican wedding cake and a mini bottle of Jamaican rum.

Yes I still see them at a lot of weddings...I've gotten homemade chocolates, little soaps, or hankies for the second line.  We're giving out leis to go with the Hawaiian theme.
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.

I agree with the above posts about edible treats.  We're doing a photobooth and hankies for the second line band.

For our favors we are just using the photos that print out with the photo booth as the favor. I haven't been to a NOLA wedding in a while, but the last wedding I went to was a smaller one and didn't have any and my sister wasn't into wedding planing and just had match books.

Yeah Favors can get a bit expensive so it all depends on ur budget and number of guests Godiva just had their semi-annual sale blows u missed it! My idea, and also what im doing is to go for a Candy or Petite Fours buffet and order either boxes or baggies for people to put them in and take them home.
It will work as nice and decorative thing to have, as dessert and also as favors.
If you want dont want to for them to take home what they had access to during the reception then include something they dont but that is also included on ur candy or pastry budget like a specialty candy or something personalized, another option is Cakepops or personalized cookies or fortune cookies or truffles or bon bons, mini cupcakes... up to ur taste. hope it was helpful!
