Second Line Band

I'm looking for a good, reasonable second line band...can you ladies help me

Also I'm trying to find out how much the rebirth brass band charge and how to get in touch with them...

Th lowest cost band mentioned on the board is Dr Jazz at 500. Don't forget that if you plan to second line in the street there is a 350 permit and escort fee. We were unable to successfully contact Rebirth on our own, luckily our DOC works with them frequently and did the legwork for us.

We decided to go with Dr Jazz. I'm not sure if his prices when up since but he quoted us 775.00 for two hours and doing the 2nd line. He also said he would help out with filing permits as well. Dr Jazz was quick to respond to our email and he also called my FH back in a timely manner. Maybe try checking them out? Hope this helps.

I would highly recommend going to Rebirth's regular Tuesday night show at the Maple Leaf and then waiting until after their first or last set to talk to them.  Say you and your fiance are big fans (what we did) and then sweetly ask them if they do weddings (what we did).  They were very receptive to us when we did that but I know they also don't do a lot of weddings or wedding 2nd lines.  And they are definitely not what I would classify as inexpensive but they are WAY worth it.  Every time I think about our 2nd line I smile.  And our guests!  They were blown away.

I ended up going with Kinfolk brass band for 800, this is for the second line plus finishing out the hour for our cocktail hour.  I contacted them through White Oak Productions. Mimi with that company is VERY helpful.

I would have LOVED to book rebirth but i'm sure they were way out my price range!

I know we paid our band almost $900 just for the second line, so if they are playing your reception too, that sounds like a great deal

Yeah we're getting married during the week and we only have 30 guests invited so we didn't need the full band. I really like Dr Jazz. He even sent a free CD of the wedding music they play. They've been really great so far!

I used pocket aces brass band for my second line. They were awesome. They play contemporary music, dressed very nice, they were energetic and young. They were on time, easy to work with and the price was reasonable. The cover band mixed nuts refered them to me and they were amazing!!
