Aisle runner/chairs/small sound system for wedding music?

Since I'm doing my ceremony in Jackson Square, and they're kinda strict about what you can/can't do there (rightfully so, of course!), I was wondering about a couple things.

I can probably call and ask, but since I'm on here right now I figured I'd ask y'all...

1. Anybody know if there's electrical plugs anywhere to plug in some small sort of speakers or something?  All I need is enough volume so that my 100 guests can hear Pachelbel's "Canon in D" as my dad walks me down the aisle.

2. How do I even go about doing that, and do you think it'd work?  Since it's outdoors, I wonder if the sound will carry well at all?? *antsy*

3. Who in the NOLA area can I rent chairs and possibly an aisle runner from, and do they come set it up and break it down, or do I hire someone separately to do that?

GEEZ there's a LOT of details to this!  Haha.

I'm not sure if I'm even going to bother with floral arrangements at the ceremony besides what we wear/carry (my and bridesmaids' bouquets, mothers/grandmothers corsages, groom/groomsmen's/dad's boutonnieres)...perhaps something simple like some potted African Violets or Delphiniums placed strategically down the aisle...or maybe African Violet petals and red rose petals strewn all down the aisle...hm.

Anyway, if anybody has any experience or suggestions for Jackson Square wedding logistics, please hit me up.  I'm trying to get as much planned out as possible before I leave for Dallas on the 21st and that date is fast approaching!  I'll be gone till May and by then it'll be too late to do lots of things already!

THANKS everyone! :)

From a fellow outdoor NOLA bride, I would consider hiring someone to play the violin rather than trying to hook up an iPod or something in Jackson Square. (Consider hiring a music major at Loyola or Tulane if budget is an issue). I think any string musician would know how to play Canon in D because it is a fairly common wedding song.  String music will carry outdoors (I mean, it was what they played on the Titanic when it sank) and I am just unsure of whether there is a place to hook up amplified music in Jackson Square that isn't intended more for huge amps and stuff.

As far as rentals for chairs and stuff goes you could try Perrier, YourEventDelivered, or NewOrleansPartyRentals. (All available with a quick Google search).  I wish I could give input on these, but I am letting my venue take care of chairs and stuff so I haven't actually hired a party rental company.  From what I understand, the company will ABSOLUTELY set up and break down their own stuff so no worries there.

Quick thing to consider: aisle runners can be an absolute disaster outside.  The first thing my planner told me when I mentioned one was DON'T DO IT.  The wind can pick them up and make a huge mess, people can trip, and really what point do they serve?  It might be really pretty to use lots and lots of the violet petals strewn across the aisle to give it the "look" of a runner without the mess.
