Alternative Catering Options

Does anyone have any experience using a non-traditional caterer like a food truck or restaurant that handles off-site catering?

I saw that Dat Dog and Boucherie (two totally delicious New Orleans restaurants) do catering. I'm waiting on receiving their menus, but I'm curious if anyone has any experience, experience or recommendations.

    I've heard of couples offering late night Lucky Dogs or similar but I'd be a little wary of companies with no experience in weddings. There's too much involved.
