Bridesmaid Luncheon

Are any of you planning to do a bridesmaids luncheon?  I thought it would be nice to do since most of my bridesmaids have never met each other before.  Where are you planning to do yours?

I was originally planning to do it at Brennan's, but my brother suggested August.  He said they have a $20 lunch special, but I can't find any information on their website.  Is that still accurate?  Any other suggestions?  Most of my bridesmaids are coming from out of town and are big foodies, so I want to give them a luxe New Orleans experience.

Do you think Commander's Palace will be a better bet?

Re: Bridesmaid Luncheon

  • August is great but I am not sure about a $20 lunch menu. Brennan's is great too. Other great places are Commanders and Cafe Adelaide. (Both of them have 25 cent cocktails during lunch) Smile

I am planning on a Bridal Tea at the Ritz instead of a lunch.

  • Don't forget Zea's, they are great!
  • Brennan's also has a brunch special, 3 courses for a decent price, though I can't remember how much. Of course, I am a huge Commander's advocate. Haven't been to August yet, but have heard good things. Really, you can't go wrong with any of them.
  • I am pretty sure that still August has a $20.12 lunch special.  It is a set menu though.   Unless you are going to require that your BMs order only from it, you will easily go over the $20 price per person. (Also, I think the 20.12 doesn't include drinks). They have such amazing food though!

My sister and niece threw my daughter a Bridesmaid Tea at English Turn.  It was lovely and the food was excellent.  The flower girl ( the groom's niece) and my two nieces who came had a blast. We all had to wear hats or facsinators and they were precious ( ages 2, 3, and 4).   It does mean driving across the river, but it was excellent.
