H2B and I were planning on doing a unity candle ceremony during a reception, but since we've decided to hold the ceremony and reception on a riverboat, we won't be able to. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on an alternative? It was something that Fi really wanted to do. The plan was to alter the ceremony a bit to incorporate my son by having him hold the unity candle while we lit it, so anything that we can involve my son and/or his daughters -- they will be my BMs, so we weren't too concerned with them feeling left out by not being involved in the unity candle lighting -- would be awesome! I've done some searching but haven't found anything that quite holds a candle, pun intended, to the unity candle idea.
