Lighting and DJ

Are any of you having lighting for your venue?  Are you having your DJ do it or hiring a separate vendor?

I've gotten quotes for $600 and for $1500 to do lighting, so I'm just trying to figure out what is the norm.

    We aren't havinng due to lighting due to memebers of my family and me having epilepsy, but we were considering it. We were going to use Omega Sound. We are using him for our DJ and with paying for his parking in the Quarter it is $500 about and with lighting it was under $1000 I think, it just depends on the type of lighting, but we were only using him for the reception. and for 3 hours.

    Sorry, just to clarify that the quotes I got were for both lighting and DJ.

    From Omega I got under 1k for both DJ and lighting.
