Places for a Shrimp/Crawfish boil for RD

Hi Everyone.
So my fiancee, Kylie and I are getting married next September (only been engaged for 13 days - but we are already hard at work) and we are both OOT. We want to have a shrimp or Crawfish boil as a welcome party to our guests since everyone is coming from out of town - love this destination wedding thing!

Any one got any ideas on where we can host it - most of our guests will either be downtown or in the Quarter.

Thanks so much

  • You can rent a pavillion in Audubon Park.  I've been to a crawfish boil rehearsal dinner there before.  People just took the trolley or a cab there.

<div>Thanks - any ideas on who would cater something like that</div>
  • Pigeon Catering does crawfish boils.  I'm sure many of the other caterers in New Orleans also do them.

<div>It will have to be shrimp, since crawfish will not be in season until spring. </div>
  • There's always crabs. :)  JM Catering does wonderful boils.  Also, the back patio of Bayou Beer Garden has a great atmosphere as well.  Very reasonable prices too.
