Bands - MoJEAUX

I am having trouble deciding on which band to book for our reception.  I really like MoJeaux and I have heard amazing things about them but I can't decide if I should spend the money on them or try to find another band that is more affordable.   Has anyone ever heard No Idea or Louisiana Spice live?  Should I just spend the money on a band that I know will make the reception amazing??

    I loveddd MoJeaux as well, but just could not spend that amount on them! My budget just wouldn't allow it. I went with Louisiana Spice off of all the wonderful recommendations. Everyone says they are amazing and really get everyone involved in the fun. Also, when I was booking them I had an excellent experience. They are really great to talk to and really work with you. I wouldn't go with No Idea, simply because I recently read a board where they cancelled on a girl 2 weeks before the wedding! Saying they accidently double booked. If you can afford MoJeaux, then go for it. If you would like to spend your pennies elsewhere, I think Louisiana Spice is an excellent alternative!!

    I booked Mojeaux for my wedding, but was also really nervous about spending such a large chunk of my wedding budget on the band.  I decided that the band was one of the most important things to me though, so I went for it.  I want to make sure all my guests have a great time.  My worst nightmare was having an empty dance floor all night!  I will say that I initially looked into No Idea because I liked their sound and they are cheaper than Mojeaux, but they were already booked. 

    If you do decide to go with Mojeaux, carefully read their contract.  They now put that they can cancel on you if a corporate obligation comes up at the last minute.  I made them take that part out of their contract before I would sign it.

    Spend the money on MoJEAUX!!!!  My wedding was on 5/14 and the band is where I splurged.  And I cannot tell you how worth the money MoJEAUX is!!!  My wedding was absolutely perfect but they were definitely the highlight.  I promise you will be so glad you did!

    I had Louisiana Spice for my wedding last year and was very impressed. Everyone was on the dance floor dancing. They play oldies and new songs! Highly recommend

    Thanks for all of the help!  By the time I made my decision MoJEAUX was already booked:(  I went with The Mixed Nuts and I am really excited about them, I have heard great things!  I haven't heard them live yet, but after MoJEAUX slipped away I didn't want to take the chance again so I went with my gut and booked them!  I'm really hoping that my gut was right!
