Rehearsal Dinner in New Orleans

Hey Fellow Brides

So I am looking at rehearsal dinner location. We have a bunch of guests coming in from NYC and we want to treat them to traditional New Orleans Cuisine. We are going to have about 60 guests at the dinner but I do not want to spend a fortune. In other words, I do not want to pay for 2 receptions. Anyone have any suggestions....Uptown area would be nice as well as Central Business District. Any other suggestions are welcome not in that area as long as it is in New Orleans.

Acme Oyster house has a private room and packages start at $27/person.

Tijagues also has sveral priovate rooms and their packages start at $36/person

Olivier's has great Creole cuisine.  They have a private room upstairs and I believe their packages starts at $50/person

I went to neworleansrestaurants.com and entered in the specific information I was looking for on their form - date, # of people, price and heard back from about 15 different restaurants the next business day. It was great because you don't have to talk to each individual restaurant. I got tons of great info.

After all that, we decided to do a small lunch for the bridal party only since we are all out of town and I don't have the extra money for a big rehearsal dinner.

I am going with Ralph & Kacoos for a Bridal Party Only Rehearsal Dinner. They have private rooms and different menu options for lunch and dinner (of course I opted for lunch because it was cheaper) and I am paying $16 a person (meal, drink and dessert)

Check out Mother's restaurant. They have very affordable prices and the food is DEFINITELY genuine New Orleans cuisine. We had our rehearsal dinner there and it was the perfect setting for what we were looking for.

The staff was professional and super friendly. The food was absolutely amazing.
