One of the brides on this board used Babs Evangelista and raved about her. Her pics looked great, and after talking to Babs a couple times and sending my mom and my planner to see her, I booked her. She's super friendly and only does a limited number of weddings a year so that she can actuallly devote an appropriate amount of time to each client.

I know a lot of people also like Sabree Hill.  She is new to New Orleans, so her prices are very reasonable.

I'm also using Dark Roux based on suggestions from this site and the pics on their website and facebook. Engagement pics are in a few weeks and wedding in March. I am an OOT bride and Heather & Jamie (wife & husband team) have been great with communications so far and Heather had awesome ideas for our engagement shoot. I can't wait! Good Luck!

I used Brenda Sison and LOVED her!  She saved me from Amanda Marks Photography!  She is so sweet and listens to suggestions.  Her website is www.brendasisonphotography.com

You can see my pictures under Natalie Scott Bridals and Wedding which is under client galleries.  She uses an assistant, has discounts for military and other professions, and is very affordable!

I used Belle Amour Photography for mine. A friend recommended her to me after she did her wedding and both of our portraits were amazing. And I recall he prices to be really fair for what she offers. Then again, I booked her a year in advance for my 2/11 wedding. But look her up, you may like her....

I like Brenda but haven't done any contracts or anything plus I'm waiting on 2 more requests to come back before making a final choice but I do like Brendas work! Will let you guys know

I love Sabree Hill.  She's actually under your budget but her pics are stunning and she does whatever you would want her to do.  I've heard somewhere on this board that she stopped traffic and will lay down on the ground to get a great pic.  lol, now that's awesome.  She just moved here recently, that's why her prices are so affordable.

I used Sam Gregory, he was pretty wonderful throughout the wedding and we were very pleased with our pictures.  I also hear Stevie Ramos does nice work.

if ur budget is 3000 go for Studio Tran their packages start just on the $3.000 but if they are booked or is not what you are looking for then here is a list of the ones i looked at.

Whatever you do, Do NOT hire Amanda MArks Photography.  It will turn into a very bad situtaion as you will see many of her past clients reporting.  I got married 11 months ago and still do not have my stuff.

I used Stacy Marks in my April 2011!!  I have previous experience with shooting with him before on past modeling assignments and was 100% positive Id have him as my wedding photographer!  I was a very laid back bride and waited until 3 days before my wedding to get my bridals done.  He came back from vacation a day EARLY to shoot some pics of me so Id have one to display on my wedding day!  He is extremely professional, easy to work with, punctual, a "people" pleaser, and his work is gorgeous!!!

Also, please do NOT confuse/associate Stacy Marks and Amanda Marks.  They parted ways a long time ago, have separate businesses and are NOT affiliated in any WAY!!!!

DO NOT USE AMANDA MARKS PHOTOGRAPHY!!! I am very dissatisfied with my wedding pictures. It's been 6 months since my wedding and I still have not received my portraits or wedding albums that I have paid in full for. She started ignoring me after the wedding and the times I do get a hold of her, she gives me the run around! HORRIBLE!

if you used Amanda Marks< the only way you will see her pay for the time, money and stress she has caused you is to press criminal charges against her. Right now she has gotten a few of her friends to clean up her mess, but she hasn't actually paid for any of it. She took all of your money and ran.
