Ceremony Musicians

Does anyone have any recommendations for ceremony musicians? Ideally, I would like a string trio or quartet. Has anyone had any luck using students from the local universities? Any ideas would be appreciated!

I am using Harry Hardin of New Orleans Finest Musicians. He has been absolutely great to work with and has been incredibly helpful and responsive. They have a website with all of their info. I believe they charge about 250 per musician which seems to be about average on this board. My ceremony music is one of the main things I am most excited for next week!!

We used the Courtyard Kings and loved them. Pricing was on par with what PP posted.

We are using Harry Hardin also.  He has been GREAT to deal with thus far - very responsive and was highly recommended by our venue too.  We weren't picking traditional music either and he was able to find all of our music requests and not charge an arm and a leg because we were picking outside the box so to speak.

Back in May, we used Harry Hardin of New Orleans Finest Musicians.  We had an acoustic guitar and a violin - it was lovely.  They played for 30 minutes before the ceremony, the procession, the recession and then for about 15 minutes after for $400 I believe.  I would hightly recommend them.

The Courtyard Kings were great.  I think their pricing includes three hours, so we had them play before the ceremony and for an hour of the reception.

I am alsp using Harry Hardin. He will play violin for us. Same as abobe post...30mins prior and ceremony. He is very prompt in replying to emails, and will give any suggestions/tips. If he doesn't feel the song will work, he will let you know, but also give options. We are doing some modern songs, not tradtional classical music, and he gave lots of ideas on how each song could or could not work. I would recommend him! He plays for New Orleans Fine Musicians, so he can get you with other musicians as well.
