Who is doing your ceremony music?

DJ?

Band?

Other?

I'm thinking of just having the DJ who will be at the reception do our ceremony music also.  Just trying to get some other ideas though.

We're having a trio with a violin, piano and another yet-to-be-determined instrument. The person I spoke to when I booked the company said we could choose our music first and then he would recommend another instrument.

I used our DJ for our ceremony & reception but a little piece of info that you may find helpful if you are using a DJ is be VERY specific about when you want him to play the music.  We were pronounced husband and wife, we kissed, and we were introduced and we turned around and there was no music...  We stood there for what felt like 5 minutes and I finally said, "We're waiting for the music to start!" and everybody laughed and he started the music.  It was really funny!  But I wish I had told him to start it as soon as we were introduced.  Just a little FYI!!!

We are using New Orleans Finest Musicians, and we'll have a trio of violin, guitar, and trumpet.  They will play some jazz music as the guests arrive, a few traditional classical songs for the processional, and 'When the Saints Go Marching In' for the recessional.  We're having a DJ for the reception. I was planning on using him for the ceremony too but changed my mind.

    The Storyville Jazz Band -

The "full" band is 6 people for second line type stuff & a little bit of other music if you wanted.

If you want 1 or 2 people to play at the church service, they can do 2 for 150.00.
(processional/recessional- ex. panis angelicus, trumpet tune, trumpet voluntary, wedding march, jesu joy of mans desire, etc)
