HELP!!!! Catholic Churches for non-parishoners

Hello All!
I'm hoping some of you could help me out with names of Catholic churches in the Columbus area that allow non-parishoners to have their wedding ceremony there.  My fiance and I are fairly new to the Columbus area and are having problem finding a church that will let us have a ceremony as we haven't been registered parishoners at their parish for at least 6 months.  So far, St. Joseph Cathedral seems to be okay with having our ceremony there - problem is that they are VERY VERY expensive and seem to have lots of rules regarding photography, etc!!!

Does anyone know of any other churches in the Columbus area that will have wedding ceremonies for non-parishoners?

THANKS!

Re: HELP!!!! Catholic Churches for non-parishoners

  • A friend of ours used a Catholic church in Grandview/Marble Cliff area. I can't remember the name but I think it's something like "Our Lady". Hope that will help a little. Good luck!

  • I know St. Mary's in German Village will marry non-parishoners but I believe you may have to be active at a Parish but I could be wrong.  Also try St. Fransis of Assis off of Butles Avenue. I've heard good things about them.

Our Lady of Victory, but you have to be a member (according to their website).
  • St. Christopher's in Grandview will also marry non-parishoners

  • Thanks so much for the suggestions! I'll get started searching for those this weekend. I appreciate it.
  • We re getting married at holy cross downtown. They don't have a Saturday mass, so you can get married in the evening, and you don't have to be a parishioner.
  • We got married at St. Mary's in German Village and did not have to be members.  St.Mathews in Gahanna was OK with it if you agree to become members.
