The only day with no Buckeye's game

I am trying to plan my wedding around the Bucheyes (sigh). Do you think a lot of people will be getting married on 10/22? Are you?

You know i had the same issues! im assuming your meaning this upcoming fall season.  I feel like a lot of people WILL be getting married on the bye week.  However, the first 2 games will more than likely be noon games because we play other Ohio teams.  You may even try doing it on an away weekend.  You can kinda guess which games will be early based on the location and what times we have played those same oponents in the past.  You can always look back to prior seasons, as they usually stay the same.

I was originally planning on gettin married 9-1-12, because OSU plays Miami(oh) and the game, like I said before, will be early since they are in Ohio as well. I planned on having a 6pm wedding so everyone could watch the game as we were getting ready.

However, i realised that it is also labor day weekend and have the following Monday off work, so we switched our date to Sunday 9-2-12!

my friend is getting married on the bye week this year. however, i don't really think it matters. if you already have your venue selected and booked then good job for picking a great week. otherwise, you may have some trouble finding a venue.

    We're getting married 10/22/11 :)  And, that's exactly why.

I know the Clintonville Women's Club is open that date, we had originally booked it and then changed venues when our guest count went through the roof. I HIGHLY recommend checking them out!

We are getting married on 11/10/12 which is the OSU by week for the following year and that is the reason we chose it. At first we did not care but then we just liked the idea that we did not have to fight with traffic downtown.

When we went to Smith Brothers loft he said he was surprised more people have not asked about that date. So from that comment I think that it is probably a busy time for weddings. But goodluck!

I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer here but don't rely too heavily on Bye Weeks ladies!  Sometimes they throw in another game on the bye for the advertising money... so there MIGHT still be a game on your day!

This is exactly why I surrendered my goal of a fall wedding and went with spring... man I love the fall but I just don't want to compete with football.  Good luck to everyone!
