I need some help.  I am six months out from my wedding and I am sure all of the showers and wedding events will be starting.  What are some good gift ideas to give to the hostesses?  I just want to start looking so I have an idea.  Please help me!

    We just had an engagement party thrown by friends of the mother of the groom.  She had a pair of monogrammed wine glasses made for each couple that threw the party.  They turned out great!

    MJ's on Metairie Road has a lot of really cute things for hostess gifts- especially fleur de lis and new orleans themed items. For our couples shower, we got the host a really pretty fleur de lis ice bucket from there. The prices are also very reasonable if you're on a budget.

    For my shower, which was hosted by my mom's friend, I gave her a fleur de lis necklace from Mignon Faget, a local jewelry boutique.  They have a lot of New Orleans-themed jewelry, all which make great gifts.
