Rehearsal Dinner Venue

Does anyone have any suggestions for venues such as VFW halls, recreational centers etc near City Park where we might be able to have our rehearsal dinner? My family really wants to do the cooking for the dinner but would need a spot that has a kitchen. Any ideas would be great!

    I volunteered at the Park for years, and I can't think of anything like that in that area.  In fact, all the halls I know of that are like that are in the suburbs.  There are a few schools around there, Christian Brothers is in the Park, Cabrini and Jesuit are nearby, but I don't know if they rent out their kitchens/buildings.  I know weddings are performed at Jesuit frequently, but no clue on if they have receptions there as well like Sacred Heart does or not.  Sometimes they require someone involved in the wedding to be an alum to even use their buildings, others will allow it if you give a hefty donation.

    what time of year is your wedding? we thought about just renting a pavillion at city park and having an informal rehersal dinner, so we could bring all our own food and drinks. but it will be too hot in september!

    i think the St. christopher room is a VFW type hall in lakeview

    The wedding is in October. Lola what is the St. Christopher Room. I'm not finding anything in a google search. Thanks for the help ladies!
