Passport name change?

I know everyone has said that they send you back your cert. copy (or whatever proof of marriage you send), but I got my new passport in the mail yesterday with nothing else in there.  Do they mail it back separately or am I not getting it back?

I mailed the original and got it back with my passport.  Maybe you don't get copies back?

I mailed a copy but I got back separately. I got two packages. The first one was my new passport and the next day I got a package with my documents (old passport, certificate, etc)

hmm, in that case I could be lying.  I had mine mailed to my parents bc DH and I were in the process of moving and she opened it, so I just assumed they came together.  Could be wrong.  I'm not help, sorry.

My DH got his docs seperately when he applied for his original passport.

When we applied orginally, we got the passports and then our birth certificates arrived separately a couple of days later.  I would assume it's the same thing for name changes.

They normally send it separately.
