Budgetmama can retire!

The wedding and all the festivities….amazing! We had all our DIY projects completed and could totally relax and enjoy every minute leading up to the wedding.   Here’s a few pictures....   http://tinyurl.com/msde5r     http://tinyurl.com/mmn4jj     http://tinyurl.com/mtekz6     http://tinyurl.com/p8dpgm   A friend who used to be in the wedding business offered to be our DOC – Beth was awesome. We didn’t have to do anything except enjoy the day - no worries at all. Don’t know how we could have done it without her.   Quick reviews……   Colony South Hotel – A+. The food was awesome and the wait staff very friendly. We ordered top shelf liquor and had a few problems with them claiming to have run out of some of the special requests early (Pitrone, Chivas and Hennessey) only to discover that they just didn’t want to open a bottle 30 minutes before the end of the reception (bullsh!t) but they poured heavy and strong all night.   Florist -Carolyn Bruckner with Cache Fleur A+. All the flowers were simply gorgeous and Lainie’s bouquet is still beautiful today.   Frank Formica Photography – will hold out for now – Frank and his assistant were everywhere all night long but never got in the way and I think they got some amazing shots. Can’t wait to see the proofs.   Dan Hawkins @ Music Masters - A+ - Dan kept the dance floor crowded all night. He read the crowd and knew what to play. Not cheesy, no chatter – very professional.   Only hitch - they left for their honeymoon on Monday – they were supposed to leave for the Bahamas @ 8 am but their flight got canceled at the last minute and ended up not leaving until after 4 and finally got to their hotel about 9 Monday night and haven’t heard from them since – I hope that means they’re having an awesome time.

Im so glad everything went well. But you still cannot retire. Can't you just hang around and adopt a bride or two?

Yeah!  I am glad that it went well.  I love the last picture! I concur that I think you should stick around.  It's great to have a Mother of the Bride opinion around her.  (Plus we want to see more cute grandkid pictures!)

Thanks - I could adopt every one of you no problem!I made Lainie's veil - I wasn't about to pay $600.00 to buy the mantilla that matched her dress. It was a labor of love - Lainie loved it and I made it for about $30.00 total.

Your daughter is beautiful. I LOVE her veil you did a great job! If I can't find one in Mexico I just might have to get the details from you on a how-to.
