When we started looking that was the first place we went.  It's a pretty hotel but they weren't very accomodating for us.  Since we wanted to have our ceremony and reception in one place, their only option is to have it outside.  She didn't mention having it inside until we pushed the subject and then she said, oh yea, we've done that before, I guess you could if you wanted.  It was very off putting.  The ballroom is very prettty and they have nice area for cocktails.  Also, your guests are in charge of their own parking.  They do not have a parking garage or anything.  I do believe they have valet, but it's not cheap and it fills fast.  We were told our guests would have to park where ever they could find parking and walk - having elderly guests etc., we were really put off by this. The venue itself was very nice though.  Maybe it was just the person we were dealing with, but we didn't get a good vibe.  There are other hotels in Annapolis if you wanted to go that route.  We chose the Westin - it's gorgeous and the staff has been nothing but great to work with.  You also might want to check out The Lowes.  FI's company holiday party was there last year and it's really pretty.  The food is really good too.

I loved this place and wanted to have the ceremony on the deck along with cocktails. It was so pretty. The ball room is gorgeous too. The turn off was the parking issue. If they could have accomodated parking, we would have gone with them. We even went as far as contacting parking lots in the area (there's one right next door) to see if they would guarantee us any spots but they wouldn't be able to guarantee enough for our guests. And I wasn't going to just give the guests a map of parking areas and say you're on your own. The place is beautiful though... right on the water. I love Annapolis.

I also looked there but like the other post they weren't very accommodating. They suggested we hold our 80-90 guest wedding and reception in their very small restaurant. I thought that was ridiculous. Also I did not like that the first floor guest bathrooms were across from the freight elevators and smelled like garbage. Ultimately we went with the Westin, which was a much better choice than any of the other large Annapolis hotels. The Westin planner also called me within a few hours of my email.

We had our reception at Loews Hotel in Annapolis. The food was great and the staff was reasonably responsive. The price was really good too and they included a lot with the per head price, like nice tablecloths, chaircovers and centerpieces and they worked with us on our special beer list. They have a great valet parking service, so parking isn't an issue. I definitely recommend them!

I don't post often, but thought I'd chime in since we had such a great experience with the Marriott in Annapolis... We had our rehearsal brunch there in April and it was awesome! The food was FANTASTIC the service was great, they really went out of their way to make it wonderful! We were in the smaller banquet room downstairs but we had about 70 people in there and it didn't feel crowded at all. I also went to a wedding there last year in the ball room and the ceremony was on the patio outside. It was gorgeous and you can't beat the view! It's the only waterfront location in Downtown Annapolis. The food at the wedding was incredible, best wedding food I've had at a hotel. I believe you get a few parking passes for right at the hotel that you can use for elderly family or guests. A few of our guests for the brunch parked in the garage on main street and really enjoyed the walk to the hotel because it's in the middle of town. Annapolis is such a beautiful town, I can't imagine why people would complain about walking through it, a few blocks at the most. When I was talking to a wedding planner for my own wedding she told me that she does tons of weddings at the Marriott and loves it and that she had a wedding there last year that was filmed for the TV show Platinum Weddings. It hasn't aired yet, but from what she was telling me it was amazing! Hope this helps a little!

I checked this place out when we were searching for venues... I actually didn't really like the outdoor area where ceremonies and cocktails are held. Maybe it was because we visited in December, but it just looked rundown and shabby. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the ballroom looked gorgeous (it was set up for a wedding with a Christmas theme). They also had something like a $22k minimum on food and beverage which was out of our budget for our 125 person guestlist.
