Board Question and Vase Question

I am considering doing candles for my centerpieces.  On each table, I thought that i would have 3 medium-height cylinder vases, different heights, filled with water and flowers submerged topped with a floating candle.  Maybe have a few votive candles around them. Here is a website that has something similar to what I want: http://www.weddingcenterpieceideasblog.com/tag/centerpieces-ideas-for-weddings - i think it's the 3rd article/blog: Feb 27, 2009: More wedding centerpiece ideas. So first question is does anyone know a good place to buy cylinder vases like this (Good meaning cheap price, lol)?  I have googled and found some but a little pricey.  I went to two different dollar stores and couldn't find anything.  Second,  I see some ladies in here post blogs with "for sale" items.  I am fairly new and I don't know how the bios and everything works.  Is there a way that you can see who are selling things, a certain section about it, etc.  Or do you just wait for a blog to be posted?

Michaels and JoAnns have cylinder vases. You can buy them online for cheaper probably, but shipping for glassware tends to be outrageous so you're probably better off buying them in a store.Or from a Knottie. Cylinder vases are often being sold by Knotties. There is a Trash to Treasure board where people are selling stuff, but that is a national board so many of them aren't local. You could do a post on here "WTB: Cylinder Vases". If any girls on this board are looking to sell theirs, they'll respond!!

::Butting in:: The Trash to Treasure board is on the Knot under Special Topic Boards. Also not sure what dollar store you went to, but I got mine (PIB) for my memory candles at the Dollar Store on E. Joppa Road by Loch Raven Blvd. They seemed to have the best and biggest selection (I went to four other ones before I found the ones I was looking for.)HTH!

Thanks!  No, I didn't go to that dollar store, I will be though.  I actually just went to www.dollarstoredirect.com and found them, you can order them and pick them up in the store to save on shipping. Their 7' tall and perfect!!  Going to try to find them in the store before ordering online.  If you don't mind me asking, Did you have them as centerpieces?  If so, how many did you have per table?  So happy about this! lol. One less thing I have to stress about!

Yes, please send.  There is a pic of what u wanted as a centerpiece in DIY but not your centerpiece.  Also, would you be willing to sell just the 12 as opposed to selling the 15 together?  Would me meet or would you ship them?

Thats what the centrepieces ended up being. But I'll see what I can find in my prof photos tonight. Whats your email?I would prefer to sell all 15 of them and I would rather just meet. Shipping them would get expensive.

butting in - ajerome - you can always use the extra  on the escort card table (if you are having them), or in the cocktail hour, with the guest book, cake table.  They can be used in so many ways...Just a thought.
