Another Invite Question....

So I told you ladies all yesterday that I found an invite that I'm absolutely IN LOVE WITH!  I found it on Etsy and they are 5.25 per invite, which includes invite with a matte backing, RSVP card with envelope, 1 insert and a matching color mailing envelope.  Save the dates to match are 1.85 each with a matching envelope.  When I have told other people that each invite is 5.25 they are shocked and say way too much!!  I guess if you think about it, we will probably be sending out 100 or so invites, that is almost 600 bucks just on invites...yikes!!  I didn't think of it like that!Anyway, my question is...how much are you ladies paying for each invitation?

I paid $222 for 75 invite sets, which included the invitation, a reception card, a response card w/envelope, and lined inner plus outer envelopes.  Oh and that included proofs and shipping too.

I found some ideas of things I liked online... then I sort of played around with some ideas for about a week. I ended up using one of those Michaels coupons and an ACMoore coupon, and getting enough stuff to make the "perfect" invites (all 125 of them) with the invite, RSVP card, envelopes, and all the little accessories and what not for get this... $102 (And 25$ for the ink in the printer)!!! :D It's testing my patience... but it's so worth it in the long run. If I bought them off line, I would have spent over 300! PHEW. I could SURELY use that 300$ somewhere else. If you have enough time to mess around and come up with your own idea, it is certainly worth it! Good luck!

I've designed my own invites using stuff I found online, I'm having them printed by Vistaprint and then mounting them on colored cardstock so they'll be larger and heavier. RSVPs are going to be postcards from Vistaprint, outer envelopes I'm either buying from someone here ($9 for 100+) or ordering from a stationery store.I'm anticipating the whole thing will cost about $100.Counting the RSVP card and postage both ways, your invites would cost $8 each... that's $800 for invites. If it's in your budget, then woo hoo! But if not, I bet there's a way you could either recreate it yourself or find something you like better that's a whole lot more affordable. Can you post a link, or describe them? I looked at LOTS of invite stuff and I might be able to point you towards some of the resources I used.

We are paying $2650. for our invitations. That includes invite, response, reception, and accommodation cards. The envelops are lined, two color inks on all cards, and response envelops. Calligraphy for each invite is extra. We are ordering no more than 75 invites.
